Dramatic and at the same time pride-inspiring moments occurred at one of the fuel stations in Baku. The health of a driver who entered the fuel station located in Badamdar settlement to refuel suddenly deteriorated.
Medianews.az, referring to Patrul.az, reports that after falling from his vehicle and immediately placing an order, the citizen suddenly had a seizure, lost his balance, and fell flat on his back. At those critical moments when the people around were in a panic, the police officer present at the scene immediately took action.
At that time, Ruslan Mehdiyev, an employee of the Sumgayit City Main Police Department who happened to be refueling his own car nearby, assessed the situation instantly and intervened in the incident promptly. The professional police officer maintained his composure and provided first aid to the citizen, preventing his tongue from folding and choking. Thanks to the swift reaction of the police officer, the citizen's condition stabilized and he regained consciousness.
It is also clearly seen from the video footage caught by security cameras that if the police's timely and proper intervention had not occurred, the incident could have had more severe and tragic consequences.
It should be noted that these footage have been warmly received on social networks. Such selfless steps are the next clear example of the trust, mutual support in police-citizen relations, and that the law enforcement officers stand by citizens in every circumstance.
