In order to ensure the uninterrupted flow of transportation, the comfort of pedestrian and road traffic on the streets and avenues of Baku city, and to achieve the sustainability of urban mobility, the Azerbaijan Surface Transport Agency (AYNA) continues to organize parking areas.
BAKU.WS reports that paid parking areas have been created and put into use on Huseyn Javid and Ataturk avenues, 2nd Fountains, 1st Green Island, Seyid Jafar Pishavari, Landau, Hasan bey Zardabi, Najaf bey Vazirov, Agadadash Gurbanov, Mardanov brothers, Dilara Gadirbeyova, and Adil Mammadov streets for the use of drivers. When organizing parking spaces, appropriate conditions are created for vehicles of drivers with physical disabilities.
In the coming days, parking spaces will be put into use on Dadash Bunyadzade, Yeni Yasamal, Mohammad Khyabani, Behruz Nuriyev, Nakhchivanski, Shirin Mirzayev, Meshati Ganjavi, Mehdi Abbasov, Bekir Chobanzade, and Adkham Orucaliyev streets. On the streets where marking lines have been drawn, relevant road signs will be installed, and the new parking lots will be at the disposal of vehicle owners.
In areas where there is less demand for parking, free parking spaces continue to be established. Thus, on Izzat Nabiyev, Shovqiyar Abdullayev, Khalil Rza Uluturk, and Alesger Gayibov streets, the appropriate infrastructure has been built to provide conditions for free parking of cars. Work continues in the direction of organizing free parking spaces.
It should be recalled that according to the "Road Traffic" Law, no payment is required for parking vehicles up to 15 minutes in paid parking areas. Parking of vehicles is free from 22:00 to 07:00, as well as on Sundays of the week.
The proper management of parking makes the streets more efficient, comfortable, and safe, and also enables owners of all types of vehicles to make efficient use of the city area.
