A secret drug bunker has been discovered in the Novkhani settlement of the Absheron district.

It was reported that as part of the measures taken, 45-year-old Etibar Gurbanov, suspected of illegal drug trafficking, was detained. During a search of his residence and the backyard area, a secret bunker prepared underground was found to contain 209 cannabis plants cultivated by cultivation method, with a total weight of over 11 kilograms, as well as nearly 2 kilograms of marijuana, which were confiscated.
During the investigation, it was determined that E. Gurbanov had installed special ventilation, lighting, and heating systems in the bunker to create favorable conditions for growing cannabis plants.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fact. By court decision, a preventive measure of arrest was chosen for E. Gurbanov.
