"Currently, in the Baku metro, 36 train sets belonging to the 3rd generation, as well as another 36 train sets belonging to the new – 4th generation, are in operation."
Medianews.az, citing oxu.az, reports that this was stated by "Baku Metropolitan" JSC.
It was noted that in connection with the implementation of the State Program covering the years 2025-2030, measures are currently being taken to purchase new trains:
"According to the State Program, after the tender for the purchase of new wagons is announced, a contract will be signed with the winning party and the production process will begin. If there are any innovations in this regard, detailed information will be provided to the public."
