In January-March 2026, food products, beverages, and tobacco products worth 8 billion 774.9 million manats and non-food goods worth 7 billion 152.4 million manats were sold in Azerbaijan's retail trade network.
Medianews.az, citing the State Statistics Committee which issued the report, states that 50.4 percent of the funds spent in the retail trade network went to food products, and 4.7 percent to beverages and tobacco products.
According to another official report, in January-February, legal and physical persons of Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with partners in 150 countries, exporting to 100 countries and importing from 138 countries. Compared to the same period of 2025, it is reported that foreign trade turnover decreased by 29.5 percent in real terms, exports by 6.8 percent, and imports by 51.9 percent.
