On January 1, the bright figure of Azerbaijani press Hikmat Sabiroglu turns 60 years old.
Medianews.az reports that Hikmat Sabiroglu was born on January 1, 1966, in the city of Shusha. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Baku State University in 1991.
He has worked at "Azadlıq" newspaper (reporter, head of information and politics departments, deputy editor), "Press-Fakt" newspaper (reporter), "Avropa" newspaper (deputy editor-in-chief), "III Sector" magazine (editor), Mediaforum.az website (deputy editor-in-chief), Transparency.az website (page editor), Novator.az website (deputy editor-in-chief).
In 2007, Hikmat Sabiroglu's book "Karabakh Conversations" was published. The book gathers a series of articles reflecting the journalist's childhood and adolescence memories, as well as the events he witnessed during the First Karabakh War and the national liberation movement.
