According to the decision of the Media Development Agency, in the first half of 2026, funds will be allocated for one issue per week of 16 newspapers. Six of these publications, which were published five times a week until 2026, four of them ("525-ci qəzet", "Bakı xəbər", "Şərq", "Yeni Müsavat") will appear weekly starting this year.
Medianews.az reports that "Yeni Müsavat" will be published on Wednesdays, while "525-ci qəzet", "Bakı xəbər" and "Şərq" will be published on Fridays.
The "Səs" newspaper, which has been published five times a week until 2026, will henceforth be published twice a week - on Tuesdays and Fridays.
"Yeni Azərbaycan" remains a daily publication, available at kiosks every day except Sunday and Monday.
The Russian-language "Novoye vremya" has not changed its frequency, and will be available to readers four times a week as before (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).
Other publications receiving financial support from the Media Development Agency - "Ədalət", "Həftə içi", "Hərbi and", "Xalq Cəbhəsi", "Olaylar", "Türküstan", "Unikal" newspapers, the Russian-language "Nedelya" and the English-language "Azernews" - are weekly.
Monthly financial support is 5,000 manat for the print version and 3,000 manat for the internet version.
