The official list of names given to children in Azerbaijan for the years 2021-2025 has been updated.
Medianews.az reports, citing the Ministry of Justice, that the name Uğur is the most common among boys' names.
In the top ten are also the names Əli, Hüseyn, Yusif, Raul, Ömər, Məhəmməd, Murad, Ayxan, and Tunar.
The top ten girls' names are ranked as follows: Zəhra, Zeynəb, Məryəm, Aylin, Nilay, Fatimə, Mələk, Ayla, İnci, Melisa.
In the second top twenty popular names are Nuray, Dəniz, Mədinə, Miray, Adəm, Fateh, Leyla, Banu, Ümid, Onur, Xədicə, Tuncay, Alisa, İbrahim, Ayan, Rəsul, Yağmur, Nur, Nazlı, Mehdi.
