"In the context of the crisis around Iran, the Azerbaijani sky has become a main route line." Political analyst Elchin Alioglu said this in an interview with Medianews.az.
He stated that as a result of air strikes by the US and Israel on Iran, many countries have closed their airspace: "Airlines have been forced to restructure routes and direct flights to safe directions. At this point, Azerbaijan came to the forefront."
At a time when tension is increasing in the region and restrictions are being imposed, Azerbaijan's airspace has become a main operational corridor for international aviation. Planes that previously flew along other routes are now flying en masse over Azerbaijan.
According to data from "Flightradar24," a specialized aviation monitoring resource, currently the Azerbaijani direction is being used as the main alternative route. In fact, the majority of international flights in this sector are concentrated in our sky.
This is not an ordinary matter. This indicates who is trusted in times of crisis. Today, Azerbaijan is the real air gateway on the East-West route. At a time when instability prevails around, movement continues precisely through Baku. This is no longer just a regional role — it is at the level of a global logistics center."
