According to the report of the State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with 180 countries in 2025, with exports exceeding 25 billion dollars and imports exceeding 24.3 billion dollars.
Medianews.az reports that the top five trade partners are Italy, Turkey, Russia, China, and Switzerland, with Italy leading in exports and China leading in imports.
According to statistics, 7.06% of exports were directed to CIS countries, 67.66% to European Union countries, and 25.28% to other countries; for imports, the share of the CIS was 24.07%, the European Union's share was 11.59%, and other countries accounted for 64.34%.
Exports in the oil and gas sector amounted to 21.4 billion dollars. The top three also include these products: fruits and vegetables - 901.5 million dollars, plastics and products made from them - 361.2 million dollars, chemical industry products - 316.4 million dollars.
The top three imports are machinery, mechanisms, electrical apparatus, equipment and their parts (3.7 billion dollars), transport vehicles and their parts (3.1 billion dollars), food products (2.5 billion dollars).
