Technical error in the USA woman enriched

A woman who is alleged to have kept $19,000 overpaid due to a payroll calculation error in the USA has been brought before a judge.

This incident was reported by "USA Today".

Rene Nicole Coulman, 50, a resident of Consboro, Arkansas, worked at the facility "Superior Senior Care," which provides services to elderly people.

Normally, the woman’s hourly wage was $16.50. However, due to a technical error that occurred on May 10, 2025, she was paid $1650 per hour, and in total $19,388 was paid for one shift.

Although the company management discovered the error and demanded repayment of the amount, Coulman refused, stating that she had spent the money on repairing her husband's truck. As a result, the institution contacted law enforcement.

After the investigator's call, the suspect agreed to cooperate but did not show up at the police station.

Coulman was detained on April 4 and later released on bail. She now faces a $10,000 fine or up to 10 years imprisonment. The court trial of the accused will take place on May 18 at the Craighead District Court./oxu.az
