This year, it is expected that the passing scores for higher education entrance exams will decrease. Experts hold this opinion based on the results shown by students in the graduation exam.
Medianews.az, citing Milli.Az, reports that according to education expert Ramin Nuraliyev, in the exams conducted for the 3rd and 4th groups, the difficulty of the mathematics subject is expected to lead to a decrease in the passing scores:
"If the questions in the entrance exam are difficult, a decline in scores is inevitable. Conversely, if the questions are designed to be easy, the scores will rise. Of course, it is difficult to say this in advance. Because there will be a first and second attempt at the block exams. If the questions are at the same level as last year's exam, a decrease in scores is expected."
The expert notes that if there is a significant drop in scores, it is expected that the competition conditions will also become more intense. Since the exact number of applicants passing the competition is not known, it is difficult to say anything definite.
