Mustafa Akbıyık, 79, who lives in Ankara, Turkey, has stated that he has not been able to drink water for 34 years.
Medianews.az reports that Mustafa Akbıyık developed an aversion to water after being poisoned by coal gas at his home in 1992. He only consumes tea and carbonated drinks.
He stated that despite receiving treatment in hospitals, he has difficulty drinking water and is waiting for a solution to his problem. "After coming out of a coma, I could not drink water; I shudder with just a sip. When I take medication, my children hold my hands and feet."
Mustafa Akbıyık emphasized: "Since 1992, I have longed for water and laughter. I can no longer drink anything except tea. I also want to live and be happy in this short life. I want to drink water, cola, fruit juice."
