Medianews.az reports that this information was released by the theatre's press service.

The collective represented Azerbaijan at the festival with the performance "I – Dədə Qorqud: Episode 1. The Beginning," based on the "Dirse khan son Bughach" section of the "Dədə Qorqud" epic. The play took place on October 16 at 18:30 local time at the Chimera Theatre and was met with great interest by the audience. The performance featured Honored Artist Qasım Nağı, actors Mətanət Abbas, Vüqar Hacıyev, and Amid Qasımov. The stage work, classified as a divine play, was directed by Mikayıl Mikayılov, stage designer Mustafa Mustafayev, choreographer Anar Mikayılov, and music arranger İffət Əsgərov.

It should be noted that YUĞ Theatre was the first to represent Azerbaijan at the Chimera International Art and Culture Festival held in the United Mexican States. Since 1991, the Chimera International Art and Culture Festival, held annually in the city of Metepec, Mexico, includes concert programs, theatre performances, exhibitions of paintings, photographs, books, and presentations of national cuisine samples. With approximately 400,000 visitors each year, the 35th Chimera International Art and Culture Festival is regarded as one of the most prestigious events in Mexico in terms of promoting people's diplomacy and cultural exchanges.

Azerbaijan State YUĞ Theatre's participation in the festival was carried out with the organizational support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the United Mexican States, and the Embassy of the United Mexican States in Azerbaijan.
