The Main State Traffic Police Department has made an appeal to scooter users.
According to Medianews.az, the appeal states:
The increase in the use of personal mobility devices, which are characteristic of modern cities, especially in our capital, is a positive indicator. However, failure to comply with traffic rules when using scooters and other similar vehicles is not only unacceptable from a safety perspective but also causes justified dissatisfaction among other road users.
The most common traffic violations by scooter users include the following:
* Two people riding on one scooter (this increases the risk of losing balance and accidents);
* Moving at high speed on sidewalks and pedestrian lanes;
* Not complying with traffic lights and road signs;
* Operating without warning lights or signals at night;
* Minors and individuals without driving skills joining road traffic on scooters.
These violations not only entail administrative responsibility but also create a real basis for traffic accidents that can have severe consequences at any moment. Let us not forget that regardless of the type of vehicle we operate, we must know and obey traffic rules.
The Main State Traffic Police Department reminds once again: persons driving scooters and other small electric vehicles are road users and must unconditionally comply with traffic rules just like other drivers.
