Petty officer

A new problem has emerged between the MSK chairman Məzahir Pənahov's son and his former daughter-in-law regarding the division of property. The daughter-in-law claims that the jewelry returned to her by court order... is fake.

Quote: “During the court process, the opposing side initially denied the existence of gold jewelry, dowry, and clothing. Later, they tried to present the jewelry as bijouterie or zircon so that they would not have to return them. For this reason, even if the jewelry is returned, I also consider the possibility that they have been forged or altered.”

At this point, I recalled a couplet from our great poet Molla Pənah Vaqif; it is not up to me, maybe the similarity between "Pənah-Pənahov" played its role:

“May God protect you from calamities,
May you never be separated from the beautiful land,
If sick Vaqif dies, may his head be sacrificed for you,
As long as your soul is alive, daughter-in-law!”

Yes. Although, the opposing side currently does not wish the esteemed daughter-in-law good health at all. As for the diamonds turning into zircon, we—orphans of Azerbaijan—have seen such “tricks” from teacher Məzahir many times. These are easy tasks for him. He reads a prayer, and lead turns into gold. If he wishes, he can turn a candidate from the opposition running for deputy into a frog. The Ministry of Justice has been unable to find how he erased 3-4 candidates in our Biləcəri municipality for 10 years. And the daughter-in-law is making a fuss about stones and gems... Daughter of mercy, go pray, make a sacrifice, I don't know, offer a vow to the Butulka shrine in Buzovna so that you come out of this quarrel safe and sound. Teacher Məzahir would seal your life protocol so firmly that even Hazrat Jibrail could not erase it. He is such a powerful figure.

Let's move on to other topics, otherwise I also felt a deadly threat within myself, a trembling occurred.

One of the esteemed deputies in the National Assembly raised a very important issue. He said that when someone is caught in the act of a crime, compensates for the damage caused, they are released and then reappointed to official positions. This practice is especially widespread in the healthcare sector. This must be stopped, and so on.

He is an inexperienced deputy, whoever he is... He has no knowledge of state governance. Frequently catching and releasing corrupt officials is one of the essential principles, because they are engaged in collecting funds from the people like tax stamps. If you allow, they collect; then you tighten, release again, and they collect again, and this process continues in a cycle.

What benefit does our state get from imprisoning a talented person, or removing them from office after a conditional sentence expires? The Soviet government once collapsed because of such nonsense; they used to catch those engaged in secret economies.

Let's not go far; recently, the prosecutor’s office revealed how much bribe Major Rasim Həsənov, former head of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Ministry of Defense, received over 5 years. How much money do you think teacher Rasim collected? Give a number... You didn’t guess, right? The major supposedly took 50 thousand manats in bribery across 7 episodes.

This is laughable, comrades! Divided by years, it amounts to 10 thousand manats per year. Among other things, under the Criminal Code article, Major Rasim faces more than 10 years in prison if convicted. Keeping him in prison for 10 years might cost our state about 100 thousand manats. But if we give a conditional sentence and reinstate him in his previous job, couldn’t we set the goal for him to collect more funds? Then, if you want, catch him again. The boss stands, Agacan stands.

It is possible that Major Rasim was imprisoned precisely because he collected a small bribe (there should be a “petty offense” article somewhere in our code), but again I emphasize, it is the state's duty to forgive people's mistakes and provide an opportunity and environment to redeem themselves.
