A man attacked doctors with a knife in Dagestan.
Medianews.az reports that the incident occurred in Makhachkala on the evening of April 23.
One of the visitors attacked the doctors with a knife following an argument with the medical staff, inflicting several stabs on them.
As a result of the incident, a surgeon and a traumatologist were injured. The surgeon underwent emergency surgery and was placed in the intensive care unit, while the traumatologist's condition is assessed as moderately severe.
The suspect attempted to flee after the incident but was detained by the hospital security guards and handed over to the police. It was confirmed that he had consumed narcotics. The attacker later confessed that he committed the act intentionally because one of the doctors had previously refused to perform an operation on his mother.
A criminal case has been opened under the charge of "attempted murder." The investigation is currently ongoing.
