Perviz Gasimov, a well-known Azerbaijani mugham performer and also a professional bodybuilding athlete, achieved the highest result at the World Championship in bodybuilding held in Portugal.
Medianews.az reports that Perviz Gasimov was worthy of the title of absolute winner of the competition and became the world champion.
He also obtained the Pro Card, confirming his status as a professional athlete in the heaviest weight category in the world.
Gasimov stated that the coincidence of this success with the days when Azerbaijan’s new embassy was opened in Portugal holds special significance for him.
"Long live Azerbaijan, long live Azerbaijani sports! I thank the honorable President for his constant attention and care shown to us athletes. He has always spared no support and sincerity towards us," emphasized the world champion.
It should be noted that Perviz Gasimov is among the winners of the Television Mugham Competition and the International Mugham Competition. (Musavat.com)
