During WUF13, the airport received nearly 200,000 passengers.

During the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, Heydar Aliyev International Airport successfully ensured uninterrupted and coordinated operational management under conditions of high passenger flow.
From May 15 to 24, the airport served a total of 194,793 passengers. Of these, more than 100,000 were arriving passengers and 94,000 were departing passengers.

Considering the international delegations, government officials, and forum participants arriving in Baku within the framework of WUF13, an enhanced work regime was implemented at Heydar Aliyev International Airport concerning operational coordination, passenger services, and transportation connections.

To ensure the comfortable, safe, and uninterrupted movement of passengers, special transportation routes were organized, additional mechanisms were activated, and prompt service solutions were applied. At the same time, preventive measures were carried out to effectively manage passenger flow inside the terminal and to increase service agility.

Heydar Aliyev International Airport continues its efforts to maintain high operational continuity during international events, protect passenger satisfaction, and provide a safe travel experience in accordance with international service standards.
