The number of deaths due to the earthquakes that occurred in Venezuela has reached 2,954, and the number of injured has reached 16,592.
This was stated by Jorge Rodriguez, the chairman of the National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic.
According to the Ministry of Communication and Information of Venezuela, 856 buildings were destroyed as a result of the earthquake.
It is noted that 3,281 international rescuers have been sent to the disaster zone, and Caracas has involved 29,567 personnel to carry out rescue operations.
It is also reported that rescue teams continue their work in the most affected areas to ensure public safety as well as to support ongoing repair and reconstruction efforts.
