A strong fire has started on the side of the highway in Lankaran.
Medianews.az reports that the fire began on the section of the new Alat–Astara highway passing through Lankaran city.
The dry grass cover on the roadside, in an open area, has caught fire. Due to windy weather conditions, the flames have quickly spread over a large area and are rapidly advancing along the highway. The accumulation of dry grass, which has not been cleared in time, creates conditions for the fire to expand even further. There is also a high likelihood that the flames may cross to the opposite side of the road.
