The arrest of the TikToker Ilduzə Hacıyeva (Arzum), who is found guilty of causing a fatal traffic accident and fleeing the scene, has been trending for two days. Today, the court documents that were previously disclosed regarding Amal Məlikov, who died in the mentioned accident and had previously been held criminally liable on drug charges, have reignited discussions. A copy of that ruling was shared, claiming that Amal might have been under the influence of drugs at the time of the traffic accident.
Since the issue has become a widely discussed topic, we investigated whether Amal had consumed drugs or alcohol on the day of the accident to clarify all doubts. Undoubtedly, the most authoritative document answering this question is the forensic medical expert report.
We have obtained the expert report conducted on the body of Amal Məlikov.
According to the opinion of the Ministry of Health's Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Union, no alcohol or drugs were detected in the blood of Amal Məlikov, who died in the traffic accident.
The report explicitly states the following on this matter:
"Ethyl alcohol, narcotic substances, and potent intoxicants were not detected in the forensic chemical examination of the blood taken from the corpse of the deceased A.M. Məlikov.".
The court issues rulings on behalf of the Republic of Azerbaijan. When making a ruling, the judge relies not on emotions but on the evidence, expert opinions, and other investigated materials gathered concerning the case. If any party disagrees with the ruling, the law grants them the right to appeal to the appellate instance.//Qafqazinfo
