In January-August of this year, 1,720.5 thousand visitors from 182 countries came to Azerbaijan.
Medianews.az reports, citing the State Border Service's report, that this is 1.6 percent less compared to the same period of 2024.
In January-August of 2025, 25.5 percent of those who visited Azerbaijan were from Russia, 16.9 percent from Turkey, 7.8 percent from Iran, 7.3 percent from India, 4.6 percent from Saudi Arabia, 4.1 percent from Georgia, 4 percent from Kazakhstan, 3.4 percent from Pakistan, 2.4 percent from China, 2.2 percent from Uzbekistan, 2.1 percent from Israel, 1.8 percent from the United Arab Emirates, 1.4 percent from Ukraine, and the rest were citizens of other countries.
The number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad is reported as 1,419.2 thousand, a 2.7 percent decrease compared to January-August 2024, with 41.9 percent traveling to Turkey, 14.8 percent to Russia, 11 percent to Georgia, 8.8 percent to Iran, and the rest to other countries.
