US President Donald Trump shared an article about the possible imposition of a naval blockade against Iran.
Medianews.az APA reports that after the US-Iran talks in Islamabad ended without an agreement, Donald Trump shared on the “Truth Social” platform an article stating that Washington could impose a naval blockade if Iran does not accept the US demands.
Published in the “Just the News” publication, the article entitled “If Iran does not back down, the Trump card in the president’s hand: naval blockade” notes that such a step would seriously affect the country’s economy and increase pressure on countries dependent on Iran’s oil exports, such as China and India.
The article also states that Donald Trump’s move could repeat his previous “successful blockade strategy.” The article emphasizes that the previously imposed naval blockade devastated Venezuela’s economy and resulted in the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro by the US in January 2026.
