The body of Azerbaijani student Fatimə Hüseynova, who died as a result of air strikes on the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine, has been sent to Azerbaijan.
According to Medianews.az, citing Baku TV, Fatimə Hüseynova, a graduate of Kharkiv Medical University, is originally from the Kürdəmir district of Azerbaijan.
Born in Kharkiv, Fatimə was admitted to the Medical University in her hometown in 2020. Our compatriot, who had been temporarily living in Germany with her family since the beginning of the war, came to Kharkiv on June 26 to attend the graduation ceremony and receive her diploma.
Fatimə Hüseynova's uncle, Azər Hüseynov, stated that she died as a result of the air attack while going to a photo session:
“My angel child passed away. She was a very well-mannered and kind-hearted girl. My heart burns.”
The tragic death of the Azerbaijani student has also shaken the Ukrainian community. A special corner has been created at her alma mater in memory of the young compatriot.
It should be noted that the body of Fatimə Hüseynova was sent to the homeland accompanied by her uncle Azər Hüseynov and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Kharkiv. She will be buried in her native land – the village of Ərəbqubalı in Kürdəmir.
