A delegation led by the chairman of Taiwan's Kuomintang Party, Chen Liwen, will visit China from April 7 to 12.
Medianews.az reports, citing Musavat.com, that the information was released by the Xinhua News Agency, referring to Song Tao, head of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China: "I am authorized to announce that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping have invited Chairman Chen Liwen to visit Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Beijing to promote peaceful development of relations between the two parties and along the Taiwan Strait."
According to him, the Kuomintang representatives expressed their gratitude and officially accepted the invitation. The statement from the Taiwanese political party emphasized their commitment to working together to strengthen peace, expand bilateral exchanges, and ensure the welfare of the people on both sides of the strait.
