A 10-year-old girl in Australia suffered serious injuries while trying to replicate a trend she saw on social media.

It was stated that she tried to squeeze her gel-filled "squishy" toy after heating it in the microwave for 30 seconds. At that moment, the toy exploded causing second-degree burns on the girl's face.
After the incident, the child was immediately taken to the hospital. During treatment, it was reported that her body temperature dropped to 34 degrees and she faced a risk of hypothermia.
Experts warned that some "squishy" toys contain chemicals that create high pressure when heated, increasing the risk of explosion. Some products can reach temperatures above 200 degrees even after only 15 seconds of heating./publika.az
