The son of the famous businessman Allahverdi Demirov, Seyfaddin Demirli, who works as an executive representative, was targeted in an attempt to seize a large amount of his money.
Medianews.az, referring to "Qafqazinfo," reports that Rafiq Valiev, whom Demirli knew from before, agreed to take more than 400 thousand manats from him by giving false promises.
However, the fraud attempt was unsuccessful. R. Valiev was caught and held criminally responsible. During the investigation, it was also revealed that he committed fraud crimes against two other individuals.
Subsequently, a non-custodial "placement under police supervision" preventive measure was chosen for R. Aliyev. He was formally charged under the relevant article of the Criminal Code. Seyfaddin Demirli, Gulnara Rahimova, and Rukhsara Ibrahimova were recognized as victims in the case.
It should be noted that two months ago, Seyfaddin Demirli was appointed as the representative of the Bineqadi District Executive Authority for the Bilejeri settlement. He is the son of Allahverdi Demirov, who once led the Ministry of Education's Major Construction Department and Baku's Road Maintenance LLC No. 6. The family is widely known in the media for their extensive business connections and numerous properties. A. Demirov previously came into the spotlight due to being detained by the Ministry of National Security and being recognized as a victim in the criminal case initiated after that ministry was abolished. Later, Demirov's name was associated with various corruption crime cases.
The media also claims that Allahverdi Demirov is a cousin of Misir Mardanov, the former Minister of Education.
