Russia has banned the sale of mineral water imported from Armenia.
Medianews.az reports that Russia's state-owned "Chestny Znak" labeling system has temporarily suspended the sale of certain batches of the Armenian-produced "Jermuk" mineral water both in physical and online stores.
This was stated to RBK by Revez Yusupov, deputy director of the Center for Development of Perspective Technologies, the operator of the Labeling System.
According to him, approximately 338 thousand bottles currently in circulation have been withdrawn from sale until the inspection is completed.
The letter from "Rospotrebnadzor" notes that urgent measures must be taken to prevent possible harm to the life and health of citizens.
The reason for the restriction is cited as "violation of mandatory requirements."
It is noted that the ban applies to products manufactured between February 17 and March 5, 2026.//KONKRET.az
