Russia and Ukraine have conducted a military prisoner exchange. Modern.az reports that the exchange was carried out on a "200 to 200" principle.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 200 Russian soldiers were returned, and 200 Ukrainian military prisoners were handed over. The Ministry stated that the UAE and the USA assisted in the exchange.
Russian soldiers are currently in Belarus and are receiving medical and psychological assistance. Later, they will be returned to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation.
On February 26, as part of the Istanbul agreements, the two sides exchanged the bodies of fallen soldiers: Russia handed over 1000, and Ukraine handed over 35 bodies.
