Russia to Kazakhstan Amur tiger will send

Russia will send the Amur tiger, which is on the brink of extinction, to Kazakhstan.

The director of the “Amur Tiger” Center, Sergey Aramilev, stated this.

According to him, experts are currently selecting these tigers and will send them to the country within the framework of a project to increase the population of this species in Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that Russia and Kazakhstan signed an agreement in 2022 regarding the reintroduction of this species to the country. In November 2025, the ministers of both countries approved a plan for bringing tigers to Kazakhstan and their initial adaptation.

During the selection, factors such as different genders of the tigers, health condition, hunting skills, and reaction to humans will be taken into account.

The selected tigers will be relocated to Kazakhstan and tested in a rehabilitation center.

If the experiments are successful, the tigers will be released into the natural environment./lent.az
