According to the agreement reached between the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and SpaceX, the operation of all unregistered "Starlink" terminals used on the Ukrainian front has been suspended.
From now on, only "Starlink" terminals officially registered and to be registered in Ukraine will operate.
Some Ukrainian military units that operated unregistered "Starlink" terminals have also been affected by this measure, but they are rapidly included in the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's "white list" and provided with service.
From the cries of Russian military bloggers, it is understood that Russia is the most affected party.
Approximately 550,000 mobile "Starlink" stations used by the invading army have been blocked. As a result, the Russians have lost both their communications and the drones operating with "Starlink" transmitters have become useless. This has reverted them to the situation at the beginning of the war in terms of communications.
There are even reports today that Russian attacks have stopped in some directions of the front.
Russian bloggers on one hand insult Elon Musk, and on the other hand criticize the Russian leadership (without naming Putin) harshly, writing how can one trust Americans and on what basis did they believe Elon Musk was close to Russia?
Indeed, just imagine, a state that is gloating about a war with NATO is fighting using the internet network of a commercial company from a NATO country, and after being cut off from that network, it faced serious technical problems.
E. Musk sympathizes with Ukraine's new defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov and has promised to help him.
It should be noted that after many mistakes in Zelensky's personnel policy (which cost Ukraine dearly), successful appointments have recently been made. Fedorov and Kyrylo Budanov have managed to achieve qualitative changes in their respective fields in a short time. These appointments have also increased Zelensky's chances in the upcoming elections.
