Proper brewing of black tea increases its benefits

The method of preparing black tea can directly affect its beneficial properties. Scientists report that during proper brewing, the antioxidant substances in tea are better preserved.

Medianews.az, referring to Foodinfo.az, reports that British nutrition specialist Nichola Ludlam-Raine said that storing black tea at very high temperatures and for long periods can disrupt the balance of taste and benefits.

According to her, for ideal results, brewing tea for 3-5 minutes is sufficient. Tea stored for excessively long periods has a more bitter taste and can lose some of its beneficial components.

The specialist added that consuming too much sugar may reduce the health benefits of tea. Therefore, it is recommended to prefer natural additives, such as lemon or mint.
