Political analyst Shahin Jafarli told Medianews.az that the events and the escalation of the Putin regime are a direct result of the NATO bloc's helplessness, led by the US (during both Biden and Trump eras): "The hedonistic West, which absolutely refuses to accept the fact that a major war is going on in Europe, does not want to leave its comfort zone, and wishes all the cost to be paid by the oppressed and suffering Ukrainian people in the face of a huge evil, further encourages the invader.
Putin is currently testing Article 5 of the NATO treaty. If the alliance led by the US does not respond in accordance with the requirements and philosophy of this article, NATO will de facto have collapsed."
Recall that according to Article 5 of the NATO treaty, an attack against one member of NATO is considered an attack against all members of the alliance.
