Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian has made a statement regarding the recent meeting with Iran's Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei, who is claimed to have been seriously injured in a US-Israel attack.
Medianews.az reports that Pezeshkian said the meeting lasted approximately two and a half hours and took place in a very sincere atmosphere.
The Iranian president noted that important topics related to state administration and national matters were discussed during the meeting but did not disclose details.
Pezeshkian stated:
“We held a meeting with our Supreme Leader and talked for about two and a half hours. His behavior and approach were very warm and humble.”
The Iranian president described this meeting as an “important high-level contact” and emphasized that coordination on state affairs is ongoing.
On the other hand, no additional official statement has been made by the Iranian leadership regarding the meeting.
It should be noted that earlier The New York Times, citing unnamed Iranian officials, claimed that Mujtaba Khamenei was wounded in his legs during attacks amid the Iran-Israel tensions. It was also reported that he is kept in a high-security zone.
