People's Artist Ağadadaş Ağayev spoke about his love of football and memories related to the well-known coach Qurban Qurbanov during his appearance on the program "Between Us".
The artist stated that football has always held a special place in his life:
"I have been connected to football since childhood. I even have my own stadium in Narimanov. I have sung at the wedding ceremonies of many football players."
Ağayev emphasized that he was also in charge of Qurban Qurbanov's wedding ceremony:
"I conducted Qurban Qurbanov's wedding. I know his family very well and love them very much. He is one of the great coaches recognized worldwide today," said the People's Artist.
The singer also recalled that he took the stage at Qurbanov's farewell game:
"I gave a concert at his farewell game, seeing him off. There were 30-35 thousand people in the stadium. I gave all the blessings."
Ağayev jokingly said that for a while he was "upset" with Qurbanov:
"I joked that I was upset with him. He is our pride. He called me once or twice himself, but I did not answer because his name was not on the list. They made history by becoming among the first 24 in the Champions League."
