Medianews.az reports that on May 1st of last year, the population of the country was 10,236,227 people.
In the January-April period of this year, 28,631 births, 21,277 deaths, 11,422 marriages, and 6,443 divorces were registered.
In the January-April period of last year, 31,462 births, 20,535 deaths, 14,953 marriages, and 6,784 divorces were registered.
Compared to the first four months of last year, currently in Azerbaijan births have decreased by 9.6 percent, marriages by 22.7 percent, and divorces by 5 percent. Death cases have increased by 3.3 percent.
Currently, in the country per 1000 people there are 8.5 births, 6.3 deaths, 2.2 natural growth (birth-death ratio), 3.4 marriages, and 1.9 divorces.
