Scientists have discovered one of the largest dinosaur species found so far in Southeast Asia in Thailand.
According to Medianews.az, the new species has been named "Nagatitan chaiyaphumensis".
According to the research, the dinosaur was approximately 27 meters long and weighed 27 tons. Experts state that its size was about twice as large as the famous T-Rex (tyrannosaurus).
This gigantic plant-eating dinosaur belonged to the sauropod family. The fossils were discovered in the Chaiyaphum region of Thailand.
Scientists believe that this could be one of the last large dinosaur species found in the region. The reason is that the geological layers after that period remained underwater.
The authors of the study state that there are still many unexplored dinosaur fossils in the region and it is possible to discover new species in the future.
