On April 14, a barrel of Azerbaijani oil branded "AzeriLight" is being sold at $125.83. This is nearly $61 higher than what is envisaged in the state budget.
Medianews.az reports that in Azerbaijan's 2026 budget, a barrel of oil is taken at $65; "AzeriLight" started January at $65.71, February at $69.72, March at $79.60, and April at $132.35.
Oil has sharply increased in price due to disruptions in production and transportation during the wave of military operations conducted by the US and Israel against Iran from February 28 to April 8.
The international coalition of exporters has set the daily crude oil production quota for Azerbaijan at 551 thousand barrels.
In the first quarter, oil production, together with condensate, was reported at 6.6 million tons.
