In Antalya, Turkey, 38-year-old musician Gizem İşken lost her life after falling into the sea from a coastal cliff.
Medianews.az reports that the incident occurred yesterday evening around 19:30 (20:30 Baku time) on Tevfik Işık Street located in the Genclik neighborhood.
According to information, Gizem İşken came with her friends to a coastal cliff about 30 meters high, which citizens often visit to enjoy the view. They placed the camping chairs they brought near the edge of the cliff and started chatting.
After a while, Gizem İşken, who left her friends, lost her balance while moving toward a nearby path and fell approximately 30 meters from the height into the sea.
Her friends immediately informed the 112 Emergency Service. Firefighters arrived at the scene. Police restricted access to the area.
Due to darkness and the inability to reach the area by land, a boat and divers from the Antalya Police Department's Maritime Port unit were sent to the scene. Police found the woman motionless on the water's surface.
During the examination conducted by emergency medical personnel, it was determined that Gizem İşken had died. After the investigation at the scene, the body was taken to the morgue for determination of the cause of death.
