The terms of wage payment have been changed.
According to Medianews.az, this has been reflected in the Law on Amendments to the Labor Code approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
Previously, the monthly salary was usually divided into two parts (as an advance and the remaining amount) and had to be paid twice a month with an interval not exceeding sixteen days. For employees whose salary was calculated for an annual period, it had to be paid at least once a month.
According to the law, the salary must be paid to employees at least once a month. By mutual agreement of the parties, the monthly salary may be divided into two parts (as an advance and the remaining amount) and paid twice a month with an interval not exceeding sixteen days.
