Has Lukashenko disappeared in Oman?

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko visited Oman on November 28.

Medianews.az notes that Belarus official media reported this as a working visit, mentioning that Lukashenko was scheduled to meet with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman.

The official report emphasized that recently cooperation between the two countries has intensified, mutual visits have increased, promising directions identified during Lukashenko's 2024 visit to Oman have been developed, and a Roadmap was signed within the framework of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said's visit to Belarus in October 2025.

"This visit of the Belarus President to Oman will provide the parties with the opportunity to thoroughly discuss the implementation of the agreements reached and the transition of joint projects to a practical phase in various fields," the official report highlighted.

Alexander Lukashenko’s plane landed in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on the evening of November 28. At the airport, he was welcomed by Abdul Salam Al-Murshidi, head of the Oman Investment Authority.

However, after this, there were no reports about Lukashenko's visit either in Oman's or Belarus's official or unofficial media, nor on the websites of state institutions.

Medianews.az reports that this has led to several suspicions on social networks and Lukashenko-opposition online media resources, resulting in news spreading under headlines such as "Lukashenko disappeared," "Lukashenko disappeared in Oman," and "Lukashenko vanished after going to Oman."
