The Israeli army has struck the UN peacekeepers' (UNIFIL) camp located in the territory of Lebanon.
Medianews.az reports, citing BakuTime.az, that the incident was recorded in the Al-Kouzah district where the peacekeepers with blood are stationed.
As a result of the attack, three UN peacekeepers were injured. Several facilities belonging to the peacekeepers were completely burned as a result of the incident.
Although the Israeli side stated that the incident occurred during a retaliatory strike against "Hezbollah," the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, declared that the peacekeepers were deliberately hit.
"Israel even crossed the line of directly attacking UNIFIL," the head of state said.
UNIFIL has declared that targeting peacekeepers carrying out their duties under the mandate of the UN Security Council is unacceptable.
