"I am the poorest director in Azerbaijan."
This was said by director and actor Kenan MM, who was a guest on Baku TV's "Qapqara" show in its new episode.
He emphasized that talent is more important than financial means in creativity:
"Even if you give a talentless person a million, they won't be able to do anything. But when a talented person is given an opportunity, they can deliver ten times what they are capable of. I am Azerbaijan's poorest director, but with the most sincere feelings. I have never worked in luxurious conditions or in comfort. Others cannot shoot even one episode with the budget I work with."
According to the director, screen works should not bore the audience and should leave an impression in their memory:
"I want viewers to say at the end of the series, 'I wish it didn't end.' The series I shoot usually do not exceed 30 episodes. I do not want to bore the audience because you cannot artificially extend the story. If a person has a certain problem, it should end either positively or negatively."
