Retired US Lieutenant General and Special Representative for Ukraine Kit Kellogg called NATO "cowardly" and stated the necessity of its replacement.
According to Medianews.az, Kellogg noted that the alliance proved ineffective during the conflict with Iran.
"NATO turned out to be cowardly. Maybe we need a new NATO, a new defense structure," he said.
Kellogg suggested, as an alternative, forming a new alliance with Japan, Australia, and ready-to-act European countries – particularly Germany and Poland.
