The new CEO of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (İTV) has been determined.
Medianews.az reports, citing APA, that Balakişi Qasımov was re-elected as the CEO of İTV by unanimous vote of the 8 members of the Broadcasting Council.
B.Qasımov was selected by vote today at the meeting of the Broadcasting Council of the Public TV and Radio Broadcasting Company held at the Audiovisual Council.
Members of the Broadcasting Council, candidates, and representatives of the Audiovisual Council participated as observers in the meeting. The competition was held among 11 applicants.
For information, according to Article 20 of the "Law on Public Television and Radio Broadcasting," a candidate who receives votes from at least 6 of the 9 members of the Broadcasting Council wins the selection as CEO.
It should be recalled that the CEO is elected by the Broadcasting Council for a term of 4 years.
It should be noted that B.Qasımov was first elected CEO of Public Television in 2018 and for the second time in 2022.
