The Israel Defense Forces assumed responsibility on Sunday for the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Medianews.az reports, citing "Report," that this was stated in a SEPAH announcement.
It was noted that he was the target of a large-scale operation carried out by the Israeli Air Force based on detailed intelligence.
"The strike was carried out on the central command building in Tehran while Khamenei and other officials were present," the statement said.
The Iranian authorities confirmed the killing of Khamenei on the night leading into Sunday.
