Iran to the USA for talks IMPOSED A CONDITION

Negotiations for the cessation of the war are conditioned on the US adhering to ceasefire commitments on all fronts, especially in Lebanon.

Medianews.az reports that this was stated by Ismail Baqaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In his statement to journalists, Ismail Baqaei strongly condemned the crimes committed by Israel in Lebanon.

"The cessation of the war in Lebanon is an integral part of the ceasefire agreement proposed by Pakistan, and as clearly stated by the prime minister of that country, the US has undertaken to stop the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon. Any action or position contrary to this commitment will be considered a failure of the US to fulfill its obligations," he said.

Baqaei also made statements regarding the expected timing and location of the talks.

"The Pakistani government has invited both parties to travel to Islamabad and conduct talks. This issue is currently under review and planning. But undoubtedly, any talks will depend on guarantees that the US will fulfill its ceasefire commitments on all fronts."

It should be noted that on February 28, the US and Israel began military operations against Iran. Strikes were carried out on the country's largest cities, including Tehran. The White House justified the attack with rocket and nuclear threats originating from the Islamic Republic. As a result of the strikes on Iran, the country's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some other key leadership figures were killed. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps declared that it is carrying out a large-scale retaliatory operation against Israel. At the same time, Iran is targeting US facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Syria with ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

As a result of the conflict, the region's energy infrastructure and maritime transport have also come under serious risk. Due to security tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, oil prices on the world market have sharply increased.

On April 7, the US and Iran agreed on a temporary ceasefire lasting about two weeks to prevent military escalation and provide an opportunity for negotiations. According to information, the agreement was reached through Pakistan's mediation.//Trend
