Iran [this neighbor's] tankers from Hormuz will release

Iraqi tankers can pass freely and safely through the Strait of Hormuz.

Medianews.az reports, citing Musavat.com, that this claim was made by Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad, Mohammad Kazem al-Sadeq. His words were published by the Baghad Today news portal: "Iraqi tankers can pass through the Strait of Hormuz."

One day before al-Sadeq’s statement, two tankers were attacked in Iraqi territorial waters near Basra, resulting in a large fire. Afterwards, the Iraqi Ports Authority announced that operations at oil terminals at the country’s seaports were suspended.

Additionally, the “Majnoon” oil field, Iraq’s and one of the world’s largest oil fields, was hit by drone attacks 3 times over the last 2 days.
