This morning around 5 o'clock, at the address of Kichik Gala Street, at the intersection of 13-14 towers, erosion was observed in a small area of the historic Gala walls.
Medianews.az reports that the "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department has released information about this.
According to the initial expert opinion, the main cause of the erosion is the moisture and natural erosion processes resulting from continuous atmospheric precipitation observed in recent days.
Since the incident occurred, immediate operational measures have been taken by the department, the mentioned area has been fully brought under control, and necessary preventive steps have been taken for the safety of citizens. Currently, work has begun to address the situation caused in that part of the historic monument.
It is reported that the preservation of our historic heritage and the safety of citizens is a priority in the department’s activities, and the process is constantly kept under close attention.
